After the parade, we headed home to thaw out. Once at home I asked Chuck if he'd build a fire in the fireplace for me. Just the same as any other night when Chuck built a fire for me, he started by stepping outside to chop up a few logs for kindling. He brought it in the house and proceeded to tear up strips of cardboard. It was about that time that Tate decided he was going to help. Before you know it Tate took over. Chuck scooted out of the way and let Tate fill the fireplace with kindling and cardboard. Eventually Chuck added a few logs and lit the fire. Once the fire was going good, they took a moment to admire their work.

Week 91: Christmas Parade + Fire Bug
Last Thursday Tate attended his very first Christmas parade. It was super cold, but we bundled up and braved the frigid temperatures in order for Tate to experience the excitement and awe of a parade through the eyes of a child. My little guy was surprisingly still. Apparently all the floats, vehicles with flashing lights, motorcycles and animals kept his attention.
