I'm not sure exactly how it came about, but Chuck, as part of the Craighead Electric polar plunge team, jumped into Lake Walcott last Saturday. Can you believe it? I can't. But, then again, I'm the one in the family who is perpetually cold. Nonetheless Tate and I were on hand to show our support for our main man.
Before the actually "jump" Tate helped to kept Chuck warm and gave him a pep talk. I must say Tate was amazed that people, including his otherwise intelligent father, were actually getting in the water on such a cold day.
As our outing was coming to a close, Tate made a new friend, one of the four-legged variety.
In the end I was quite proud of Chuck and his co-workers. Not only did they jump into freezing cold water on a cold day, they managed to raise $4,700 for the Special Olympics.

I am very proud of you guys for raising so much money for such a good cause but could you not have came up with a better thing to celebrate than by jumping in a lake with freezing temperatures????? haha.
