Peek-a-boo

There's yet another new game in the Hardin household. Tate has discovered the shower curtain in the downstairs bathroom. He's also figured out that he can hide behind it.
The two of us were in the bathroom the other day when he wandered behind the shower curtain. All I could see were his feet. So I said "where's Tate?"
My giggly little man flung the shower curtain to his side with a beaming grin. Back in my view I screamed "peek-a-boo!" Meanwhile Tate squealed with delight.
We did that several times before he lost interest.
Tate's always gotten a kick out of peek-a-boo, but now that's his actually interacting it's so much more fun!

Week 71

Tate is quickly earning the nickname "Evil" short for Evil Knievel. This child is afraid of nothing. The other night, while entertaining grandparents, Tate thought he'd show-off his trick riding skill. He's mastered the art of riding his push along 4-wheeler. Now he's working on stunts. Lucky for him, grandpa was nearby when he nearly bit it recently.
In addition to his toddler toys, he's taken a fancy to adult-sized vehicles.
Over the weekend Tate and company were invited for an afternoon of swimming fun with the Turners. Carter, 2, and Tate had a big time swimming and riding 4-wheelers and the golf cart. Tate had so much fun on the golf cart he thought he'd try his hand at driving! Too bad for him the keys were safely tucked away so as to avoid any toddler tragedies.

Week 70

Tate had a play date last week. He and long-time girlfriend, Emalyn, met at Craighead Forest Park. The pair had an absolute blast playing on the slides, swings and other fun stuff at the Rotary Park playground.
Tate played hard and was plum tuckered out before it was all over with!
